Notorious hacker Chris Tarnovsky opens his underground laboratory to Wired.com, providing a peek into the world of satellite TV smart-card hacking. This complicated process involves nail polish, a pin head and various acids — so don’t try this at home (unless you’re Chris Tarnovsky)!

all this for just free tv……ummm……no thanks lol.and besides this method is shitty as one wrong move and ur dead and plus if u take the card to the satellite tv company for a replacement card if they find out that u were trying to hack ur smart card when u broke it there is a 70% chance they will sue u

lol people saying why did he buy all these expensive equipment. people isn’t this obvious that he can make millions out of it.

I think I have all the equipment to pull this off….including the rust remover thing.

  8. gargara Says:

    really old tecnique.

  9. gargara Says:

ahaha get away. In europe everybody does this!

  10. Dragun92 Says:

what do u mean “get away”? does everyone in europe do this? anyway hacking this card is better than acid or shitting on it u can hack by inserting it into a computer and finding the code my uncle did it he then programmed the code into a card with a wire and a sim and connected it to the reciever and boom gud as the other one which means u wont have to damage or change the original card to watch free tv europe people are unlucky if they resort to breaking the card

It Italy we are a big hacking group working locally on several things like this..this is not the only one and let me re-elaborate my sentence..i was really impatient because so many ppl things this is too hard..or impossible but it is not..it is only question of time a patience.Usually what we do is cloning cards but then we saw this was just stupid,so recreating the sim card enviroment and having more ppl breaking the code was the best but not easy and fast with new cards we haveAnotherApproach

  12. gargara Says:

sorry for my english I write too fast and i eat all the words.
    - In Italy
    - many ppl thinks
    -time and patience

  13. Dragun92 Says:

k thats very gud to hear so basically im asking u this. if u are really a sim card pro and have a method that even the most average guy can use to watch free tv and use other sim based operations how wud u like to share it with us???

  14. Vlakpage Says:

smart card isn’t just sim card

  15. Dragun92 Says:

what the hell are u talking about??? of course its a sim card. but u are right though in one way it isnt just a sim card

  16. Vlakpage Says:

there is no sim card in this video, fyi sim cards are used in phones, smart card is more general term, it could be (as siad in the video) in satellite tv, debit cards, single sign-on authentication/cryptography, passport, public transport and many other contact or contactless ones

  17. Dragun92 Says:

smart cards contain a sim are u an idiot those things are the same smart card just has more encrypted data both are meant to contain account info

  18. Dragun92 Says:

passport and everything do have contacts its the hidden black part with the number on it that u cant see coz its hidden and black but instead of that they now use a sim for a contact with all the data in the sim not the card

  19. Vlakpage Says:

from your comments its clear you really have no idea what SIM means, let alone what it can do

  20. Dragun92 Says:

umm it acts like a bios chip of a computer??? it stores ur account data??? its gold in color??? correct me if im wrong

  21. kapoiosmemialo Says:

this is just too complicated :(

  22. waawaaweewaa86 Says:

Actually one of the most intresting vids ive seen on youtube.

  23. gghack Says:

No, it is kind of microprocessor, with some RAM and ROM.

  24. Dragun92 Says:

its a chip with some ram and rom ram for sending and recieving data and rom for storing data duuhhh its not a processor nobody has invented a processor to the thin and small size of a sim

  25. journeyquest1 Says:

I have some magic dust i sprinkle on the card and presto, info. Whats the point and how many people have acess to this tech? Woops my card got lost/ destroyed i need a new one. New tech soon becomes old tech.
