What’s On TV?
What’s on TV is probably the most asked question in the universe. There are many different answers, so no matter what your tastes are you can probably find something to satisfy your need for entertainment. From soapies to police drama, from documentaries to sitcoms and when you add movies you can divide it up even further with comedy, drama, historical, romance and many more genres. And don’t forget your sports. There are sports of all kinds there at the click of a button to entertain or frustrate you, depending on who’s winning. To find out what’s on TV you may have to buy a TV guide or go online to find out what your choices are. Or you can ask the kids, who are sure to be able to recite the name and time of any TV programme between 3.30 and 10pm, no matter what channel it is on. Pity they couldn’t learn their school work as easily. But no matter what’s on TV, some people cannot find anything to satisfy them. They may have to buy or rent DVDs for their entertainment. The next time you catch yourself asking what’s on TV, stop and think whether you really need to watch all that violence. The news contains many forms of violence, documentaries often have animals tearing each other to pieces, with sports not that much better – unless you like golf; all programmes seem to contain violence. So why not leave the set turned off and listen to music instead?
